An article by lifestyle journalist Alanna Gallagher caught our eye this week. She's spotted the demand for wood effect tiles. But rather than using them to transform a large kitchen or living space, she wants to take them outside.
Her advice: Tear out your faded, slip-hazard timber decking and "replace with wood-look ridged ceramic tiles that look like warm-stained decking but need far less maintenance." Her full article with many new home trends can be found here.
We couldn't agree more with how wood effect tiles are maintenance-free in comparison to the natural product. And as you can see in our image above, they look great too. But one thing to note, if you're going with floor tiles on a patio, make sure to choose porcelain tiles rather than ceramic. Porcelain tiles are frost-resistant, whereas ceramic are not.
